The Scalabrini Villa is a nonprofit, 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, which operates a 120 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. One of our assets is our stunning panoramic views of Narragansett Bay which provides a much needed serine environment for our residents and their visitors.

Last summer our Ocean View Patio was the highlight of enjoyment for our residents. The new patio gave our residents the chance to be physically active while participating in many outdoor activities, enjoy fresh air and sunshine while delighting in the view of Narragansett Bay, and to celebrate the company of friends and family in a beautiful and peaceful environment. The opportunity to be outdoors, even for those with more advanced health issues or limited mobility, is an important part of maintaining quality of life.

After the success of the Ocean View Patio we are excited to announce our new development, the Carolina Dukcevich Garden. Through the generosity of Vlado Dukcevich and his mission to pay tribute to his mother, we are able to begin the first phase of our memorial garden.

Our vision of this project is to create a therapeutic garden that will benefit our residents by providing opportunities to engage with others while encouraging non-strenuous exercise. Skills such as planting seeds, pulling weeds and pruning flowers can serve as occupational therapy and are wonderful avenues to strengthen fine motor skills. The different variety of plants we will be using will have a vast selection of colors and aromas to engage them with their senses. The different levels of walkways and bridges will help benefit their gross motor skills.

We are asking for your support to help to continue our vision of this memorial garden by paving the way to create lasting memories of your loved one.

Be one of the first people to have an everlasting inscription in this beautiful project. We are offering a unique opportunity in our memorial garden to honor parents, grandparents, children, friends and families in a way that will last for generations to come. Your tax deductible donation will assist the success of this project, its maintenance and much needed capital for future developments.
