Higher Calling Ministries Rise Up and Build Brick Campaign

Through the HIGHER CALLING MINISTRIES Buy-a-Brick Program, you can be a part of an enduring piece of the HCM Life Development Center and Campus.  For $75.00, you can choose a message to be laser engraved on one of the 4X8″ bricks paving the Life Development Center.

Need – As we continue our endeavors to reverse negative trends that are crippling behaviors underlying the trends and are directly related to the overall breakdown of the family structure in our communities, we have discovered that there is more, much more that could be done with the appropriate facilities — hence this proposal.

Vision – Higher Calling Ministries will spearhead the construction of  a 25,000 square foot family life center on the eleven (plus) acre campus of Higher Calling located at 2901 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur Georgia 30034.   Though located on the campus of Higher Calling Ministries, this facility will be a true community center, welcoming men, women, boys and girls of all races and socio-economic backgrounds.

Purpose – The facility will meet the felt needs of the community by providing a safe, nurturing environment for all family and positive community activities, including educational programs, artistic and cultural presentations and sporting events.  Our goal is to ensure that everyone who needs a place to hold a positive activity will have one – namely, ours.

Community Involvement – Our family of believers has always been committed to meeting the holistic needs of the community.  We currently operate a daycare center Beulah Early Learning Center through our foundation, Beulah Urban Outreach.   The foundation also sponsors a summer camp and adult educational programs.  A GED program will soon be available.  We have also sponsored tutorials, community health fairs and clothing and furniture giveaways.   In addition to general community events, we have sponsored programs for the specific benefit of Southwest Dekalb High School, including a “Teacher Appreciation Day” and “Breakfast of Champions” program.

“Blueprint” – The community center will include a gymnasium; a state of the art kitchen; a fitness center; a theater area complete with a stage, production lights and movie style seating; a computer(cyber center) room; classrooms; general meeting rooms; a children’s area and offices.
