SUSTAIN THE WAY

Dear EMAC Alumni, Parents, Volunteers, and Supporters,

In December 2021, EMAC completed construction on our ClearSpan structure, The HIVE, launching EMAC and swimming in the Lehigh Valley into a new era. The HIVE improves our ability and capacity to serve our swim team and triathlon team.  Additionally, we have begin to more extensively program for local fitness and outreach with opportunities such as lap swimming, adaptive aquatics, and learn-to-swim within underserved populations of the Lehigh Valley with the goal of maximizing our pool usage while keeping our costs to swim families fairly priced.

Our previous Brick Campaign, “PAVE THE WAY,” helped us to build the HIVE.  The next wave of our brick campaign, “SUSTAIN THE WAY,” however, is designed to fundraise for our USA Travel Swim team to obtain Tritonwear swim technology. Any additional funds will be put toward property improvements. 

WHAT IS TRITONWEAR? 

Tritonwear is wearable technology that goes under the swimmer’s cap.  It provides data on pace, stroke rate, velocity, turn rate, underwater distance, etc.  When this product is paired with a Polar Verity Sense Heart Monitor it gives you real-time HR data to go along with that data.   GAME CHANGER FOR TRAINING!!!!

While this information is AMAZING for swim practice, FINA just approved its usage during competition, which means our swimmers can wear this every race and receive this feedback.   GAME CHANGER FOR THE ENTIRE SPORT!!!!

Our goal is to raise $20,000 between now and the end of November, which will allow the swimmers to begin using this technology by January 1^st! If you’ve already done a brick, we thank you. If you haven’t, and your kids swim in the USA Travel program, maybe now is the time. If you know of companies or families that could support, please pass along to them and encourage them to help.
