The SuCasa Construction project is more than the construction of a new church, it is the continuation of God’s mission project.  Since its founding in 1982, the Collegedale Spanish American Church’s mission has been to provide Southern Adventist University (SAU) students that speak or want to learn Spanish a home away from home.  As part of that mission, we help train future ministers and leaders to Spanish speaking countries or churches in the United States. 

We have planted eight Spanish speaking churches in the area and were instrumental in the creation of a Chinese mission group.  However, even with all the church plants that God has done, we are still out of room and a larger place of worship is needed to support the over 700 Spanish speaking SAU students and the many families in the community.  The church is being built to be multifunctional and will be a medium size venue for the community.  It is our goal with God’s direction to continue our outreach to the growing Hispanic population and our growing community.

By God’s grace and with the help of visionary donors, church member contributions, and the sale of several church assets we have already fundraised over five million dollars.  However due to the pandemic, large increases in material costs, and historically high labor costs we now need 3.3 million dollars to complete this project.  It is our prayer that you help complete this mission by purchasing a laser engraved brick (with your custom message) as your contribution that will last a lifetime.  These bricks will be placed in exterior sections of the church for you and your families to view as a reminder of your lasting commitment to spread the gospel through the facilities and mission at the Collegedale Spanish American SDA Church – SuCasa.  Thank you and God bless.
