The STEAD School is a next generation science-based, agriculture-focused, student-led and project-driven charter high school (9-12) focused on solving global food, health, energy and environmental issues, which at full buildout will serve upwards of 700 students. The 10-acre campus is located in the heart of the Reunion community in Commerce City, Colorado. The campus will be divided up into multiple phases of construction with the first phase opening Fall 2021. The initial buildings and campus, which is intended to feel like a functioning farm, will provide classroom and science laboratory environments, faculty office space and a full functioning kitchen and serving area to create a “learning made real” environment.
The STEAD School Legacy Plaza, in tandem with the Legacy Wall, located at the main entrance off of 108th and Walden Street will honor those helping make Reunion’s first high school a reality. As a predominately privately financed project, funds raised from this first phase of the Legacy Plaza Paver Campaign will go towards critical capital and start up needs, including furniture, fixtures and equipment central to helping operate this unique hands-on school.
