We are restoring Swanton’s historic Bank Building into the new home for the Swanton Historical Society Museum. Among only few remaining historical structures in the village, none better captures Swanton’s commerce and community history. This landmark stands as a testament to an era of growth, development, and prosperity. Having withstood fires and the passage of time, it showcases original finishes, uniquely crafted locally-sourced materials, and a walk-in vault, directly connecting it to Swanton’s heritage. Today, it symbolizes the many stories of our past reflecting resilience, strength, determination, and sense of community.

Through the restoration and repurposing of this remarkable building, we hope to inspire a renewed sense of community pride while drawing more visitors to the area, helping to boost local businesses and tourism.
