The American Legion, Post 17, has teamed up with the RACE4WARRIORS nonprofit to design and build a Veterans Memorial, in the First Town, in the First State, because our Veterans always come First. The centerpiece of the memorial will be a beautiful obelisk, which was built by the 436th Maintenance Squadron, Dover AFB. Presently there is over 7,000 dog tags within the obelisk. Each dog tag has the name, rank, service, location, and date the service member made the ultimate sacrifice in the Middle East. Read more about the obelisk at RACE4WARRIORS.org.
