Nearly 30% of Bartow County residents, including many here in Cartersville, experience low food access – and that doesn’t even begin to address the lack of healthy food options. To put this into perspective, 25% of Bartow County’s population is under the age of 18. When we look at these numbers together, it becomes clear that children in our community are among the most at risk for food insecurity. Jotanica Market is committed to changing that. Our mission is to strengthen food security in Bartow County by creating an additional, reliable, community-focused source of fresh food and essential items. We proudly aim to partner with local businesses, minority-owned farms, and community-based producers to bring healthier, more equitable options right here to our neighborhood—and to help reverse food insecurity in the place we all call home. This vision can only be built with the community. As we continue through our development phase, we invite you to support our efforts through our crowdfunding campaign.
