A group of dedicated citizens in Hartford, VT is building on the legacy of honor which our first monument for WWI and WWII veterans began in 2024. The second granite and bronze monument will also be located in Veterans Park in downtown White River Junction and will honor service members from the Korean, Vietnam and post-1975 eras. A brick path will lead to and surround the monument, with honor bricks as tributes to veterans or other special people. Working together, we are aiming to complete fundraising this summer so the monument can be built this winter in time for a dedication on Memorial Day 2026.

We need to raise a total of just over $70,000 to add this second monument to Veterans Park. We received a very generous gift from the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation as well as some other smaller donations already. We have pledges of labor to do most of the site work from the contractors who helped us with the first monument. At this point, we need to raise an additional $30,000 from you, local veteran's organizations and businesses in town.

Will you join us?  You can sponsor a brick during our campaign which runs from June 1 – August 31, 2025. Bricks should be for a veteran or other special person, living or deceased, no matter where they live – they don't have to be a Hartford resident to be on a brick around the monument.

Please enter the text exactly as you want it to appear on the brick.  You do not need to center the text; the laser software will automatically center the inscription. If you would like to order more than one brick, you will need to fill out a new order form for each additional brick that you would like to order.
