Please help support the Ferndale Museum by participating in our Legacy Brick fundraiser – these bricks will replace the gravel walkways in the museum's front garden and raise funds needed for ongoing museum expenses. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our funding comes from memberships, donations and fundraisers. The bricks will honor those who helped found and shape the community of Ferndale, while the funds help ensure the museum remains an important part of the community and the historical contents are preserved and made available to the public for generations to come.

The Ferndale Museum, a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization, was founded in 1979 for the purpose of preserving and sharing the story of the small town of Ferndale, CA, and the surrounding area. For two years prior to opening, dozens of volunteers worked to renovate a county heavy equipment storage shed that was sold to the city of Ferndale for one dollar and turned over to the community group eager to transform it into a museum. With a current membership of over 750 (in a region with a total zip-code population of less than 2,500), we have become one of the most vital small museums in the nation.
