Many of the children who come to Davis Stuart are malnourished. It is our duty to bring these adolescents back to wellness and teach them the importance of healthy eating and meal preparation. The average age of Davis Stuart’s facilities is 72 years. This fact, coupled with increasingly strict guidelines from the Office of Child Nutrition and the Health Department make the need for a centralized dining hall imperative. The dining hall will be multi-faceted as it can be used for Christmas dinners, movie nights, meetings, conferences, and even as an emergency shelter in the event of a natural disaster.
